Capri

The Capri plant in Ateos, San Salvador, processes and recovers plastics through cleaning, grinding, drying, and melting. It produces flexible black plastic for flooring, roofing, and agriculture, with the goal of reusing materials and being environmentally friendly.

Our implementation

A processing line for plastic recovery, directly processing the dirty plastic to convert it back into plastic materials that we could reuse and use directly again in the environment.

The process

What does the processing line comply with?

The line included a conveyor belt leading to washing or agitation tanks to remove all solids such as residue, sludge, and any other elements from the packaged product. In these tanks, an initial cleaning was performed with water and a mild detergent that wouldn't damage the plastic. The product then passed through a mill to grind it into smaller particles before returning to another tank with water for a second agitation wash.
