Selecting the single-acting actuator
Under normal working conditions, the safety factor considered for the single-acting actuator is 30% to 50%.

Example:
Torque required by the valve = 100 N m
Safety torque = (1 + 30%) = 130 N m

To consult the output table of the single-acting actuator, we can refer to the BT-140S model, with the following output torques:

• Air stroke: 0° → 238.4 N·m

• Air stroke: 90° → 132.4 N m

• Spring travel: 0° → 172 N m

• Spring travel: 90° → 258 N m

All output pairs meet our requirements.

Note:
During the spring return process of the single-acting actuator, venting port B does not affect the torque output of the actuator, but helps the spring return to its position.
